BILAR MAN-MADE FOREST

The Origins and Purpose: The Man-Made Forest, spanning approximately two kilometers along the Bilar-Loboc highway, stands as a testament to the determination and foresight of the local community. Originating in the late 1960s, this ambitious project emerged as a response to deforestation and the urgent need for habitat restoration. With a shared vision of preserving Bohol's natural heritage, the community joined hands to plant thousands of mahogany trees, forming what we now know as the Man-Made Forest.
